Our friend Cathy gave me this bird feeder. I didn't appreciate all the finer points of the design until I had used it for a couple of weeks. This Cardinal demonstrates how the feeder keeps the larger birds away -- they just can fit on the ledge. This guy was doing the one wing-eat-and-flap routine to get around that.
